Our Mission
RockHouse Ministries & Programs started as a vision from God, given to a man who was trapped in 34 years of addiction. Upon entering a free faith based recovery program he found what he had been missing in his life, a relationship with Jesus Christ. After graduating in 2017, he started his new life with a WALK ACROSS AMERICA, carrying the cross, bringing the message of hope in Jesus Christ and awareness to the epidemic of addiction, sharing his testimony with those sick and suffering in addiction and offering help to those who could not help themselves.
He found his intended purpose in life.
Joined by his wife Marisol, Jim Downs started speaking and ministering all over America, offering men and women a way out of the prison of addiction, homelessness, hunger, and what seemed to be a hopeless situation.
In 2019 Jim was once again called to action and pedaled a bicycle over 5,000 miles around America speaking at state capitals to governors, senators, congressman, and addressing the public and news media, offering real solutions, nationwide resources, and visiting hundreds of different recovery programs across the nation.
Hearing the call once again, Jim and Marisol, with complete surrender and obedience to the Lord, moved to Spring City Tennessee to start RockHouse Ministries & Programs, and open the first of many long-term, residential, faith based recovery programs for women called Rise Up Women's Recovery Program. A year later The Brotherhood Men's Recovery Program was born.
RockHouse Ministries & Programs is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with it's main focus on saving lives from addiction through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our mission is saving lives through the power of Christ, pursuing the unreachable, and restoring freedom with God's love.
