STATEMENT OF FAITH

ABOUT GOD

We are a Christ-centered church that is dedicated to loving God with all our mind, heart, body, spirit and soul, and to loving our neighbor as ourselves. We believe there is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. He is both God and man.
(Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:4-6, Colossians 2:9, 1 Timothy 3:16)

ABOUT THE BIBLE

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and the only way to live a life as a follower of Christ Jesus.
(2 Timothy 3:15,17)

ABOUT SIN AND SALVATION

We believe God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Only through God's saving grace and work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled and renewed.
(Romans 3:23-25: Ephesians 2:8-9)

ABOUT THE GOSPEL

The saving gospel is for the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, beat death and rose again. We obey the gospel. (2 Thessalonians 1:8, 1 Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection).
(1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4; Acts: 37-39; Romans 6:3-4)

ABOUT CHRISTIAN LIVING

As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including the gift of wisdom, the gift of knowledge, the gift of faith, the gift of healing, the gift of working miracles, the gift of prophecy, the gift of discernment, the gift of tongues, the gift of interpretation, are for the church today.
(Mark 12:28-31; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Corinthians 12:8-10)

ABOUT THE FUTURE

Jesus Christ is coming again for His church. The righteous will inherit eternal life and the unrighteous will inherit eternal death.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15)

ABOUT THE CALLING

We believe that God the Father, the Almighty, the Creator of all, has called the church to a higher purpose and has assigned the task of provider and protector of all His children who are willing to open their hearts and minds to receive His love, grace and mercy.
(James 2:14-17; Galatians 6:2; Philippians 2:4; John 15:3; Psalm 82:3-4; Romans 13:4)
