James Downs Sr.

Founder/ President/ Senior Pastor

My name is Pastor James A. Downs, Sr. I was lost in addiction for 34 years. I was a selfish, self-centered, hateful individual. I didn’t believe in God and wanted nothing to do with Him until grace was given to me through a personal relationship with Jesus. Guilt and shame were lifted, and I was redeemed. I am sold out for Jesus because I know just how far He has taken me from where I was. He gave me a vision and a purpose, to build RockHouse Ministries and Programs around America saving lives and saving souls from addiction.

Marisol Downs

Co-founder/ C.E.O./ Pastor/ Women's Program Director

My name is Marisol Lozano-Downs. I am a survivor of human trafficking, sex slavery, drug addiction, and physical, verbal, and emotional abuse. By the Grace of God, I am free, redeemed, renewed, transformed and saved by the blood of Jesus. I have been washed clean, white as snow and now serving the Lord Jesus being His hands and feet to reach the lost. I have been sent by God to RockHouse Ministries because the Lord has anointed me to bring the good news to the poor and set the captives free.

Michael Christiansen

Director of Operations/ Men's Program Director/ Deacon Minister

My name is Michael Christiansen. I spent the first part of my life trying to do the right things, the wrong ways. I came to a point of utter disgust, frustration, and then ultimately to... surrender. I sat down on the side of a road, looked up, and told God "You need to show me something, or I'm done! Either send me some help, or I quit!" From that moment on, God has led me down a path that has become nothing short of a miracle. I am a graduate of the FreshStart program and a devout follower of Jesus. Now I spend my time helping others try and navigate the same trials I went through and through God's mercy survived.

Liz Couse

Financial Administrator

I am so happy to be a part of RockHouse Ministries & Programs and seeing the work Jesus is doing in the lives of our clients. Coming out of retirement to be of service again is a great joy. You are never to old to learn new things, to be a listening ear and call upon past experience to help others.
